The Cranes brooch, designed by Ole Lynggaard, is made of 18k yellow and white gold, a ruby of 0.09 carats and 177 pavé-set diamonds totaling 1.13 carats TW. vs. manufactured. The diamonds are of different sizes to fit the curves of the brooch. The white gold wings are hand hammered by master goldsmiths to achieve a matte finish, while the visible yellow gold surfaces are hand polished.
