Contemporary Interpretations at Breguet

Breguet

The Swiss Breguet is renowned for its stylish watches crafted with high-quality materials and advanced technology. This year, the brand introduces a contemporary interpretation of two absolute icons: the historic Reine de Naples 8918 and the versatile Type XX.

REINE DE NAPLES 8918

Ode to Femininity

The women's watch Reine de Naples 8918 by Breguet appears this year in a delicate, fresh mint green hue. Introduced on International Women's Day, the watch is a tribute to all women who have left indelible marks on history, starting with Caroline Murat, the younger sister of Napoleon Bonaparte. She was a woman of great intelligence and literary culture, a patroness of the arts. And she was the first to conceive of the wristwatch, at a time when ladies still wore their watches on long necklaces. At her request, Abraham-Louis Breguet developed the groundbreaking model in 1810.

After pink, gray, and white interpretations, the Reine de Naples now welcomes a model in mint green, the color of hope. The case is in white gold, with a snow-setting dial that makes the numeral ring sparkle on the white enamel. A discreet, black minute circle surrounds the hour indication, adorned with symbols inspired by the pocket watches developed by Abraham-Louis Breguet. Breguet's iconic open-tipped hands indicate the hours and minutes, while a pear-shaped diamond at 6 o'clock adds a poetic finishing touch. The inner ring and the bezel are adorned with 117 diamonds. The crown is crowned with a briolette-cut diamond. The alligator leather strap is equipped with a folding clasp decorated with 28 brilliant-cut diamonds.

Breguet Type XX

Now also with steel bracelet

The Breguet Type XX has held an iconic status for almost 70 years. The legendary chronograph, originally developed for the French Air Force, made a well-received comeback last year. Four years of preparation preceded the arrival of the new generation Type XX, released in two versions to meet all expectations. One version is military-inspired, while the second is based on the finest civilian models. The watch, featuring a new innovative caliber, nods to the emblematic first generation while also being very contemporary and dynamic. And now, it is also available with a steel bracelet, highlighting the versatile character of the Type XX beautifully.
