Expedition ships are a separate category in the cruising world, with two main features: the ship's hull is extra sturdy, allowing for risk-free sailing in ice-rich areas. An expedition ship takes you to the most extreme polar destinations, where there are usually no ports. That is why zodiacs are indispensable. They are extremely strong rubber boats that allow passengers to go ashore safely, even in the raw nature of Greenland.

As the season progresses, you can sail further north, to the Skjoldungen Fjord, settlements such as Tasiilaq and Ittoqqortoormiit, the Scoresby Sund and the King Oscar Fjord in the largest nature park in the world.
